North Yorkshire Sound Machine
Although the name is new to the area, Lee Gains and Jim Dobbs - the two people behind the company have both been in the entertainment industry for over 25 years as a mobile DJ and a PA Hire owner/operator respectively.
We prefer to be referred to as a 'sound machine' rather than a mobile disco as we believe that the sound quality is of paramount importance, not only in the music itself but in the clarity of the DJ vocals.
To achieve this we prefer to run a very professional audio system with live mixing desks to tailor the sound exactly as we want.
Lee Gains
Lee is the DJ of North Yorkshire Sound Machine and with two decades experience of mobile discos, he is the ideal person to ensure that the party meets everyone's expectations
Lee's 70's to the 90's vinyl record collection is vast and now is fully digital on CDs for portability. Everything else to the present day is Original CD or High Quality MP3
Jim Dobbs
Jim's first PA speaker system was hand-built in his kitchen in 1976 and was used for several years.
In 1980 he became North Yorkshire Sound Hire and invested in a professional concert PA system which he operated for over 20 years working with many bands and entertainers in the UK and abroad.
His background & experience in sound systems ensures that the disco or sound rig is set up safely and sounds as good as possible in any venue.
