[New Harrogate Police Station]

The provisional plans and landscape designs for the new Harrogate Police Station will be publicly unveiled at an open day on Tuesday 20th April in the Queens Suite, Harrogate Conference Centre, HG1 5LA. Details of progress made on plans for the existing site and proposals for a smaller town centre police office will also be available at the event. Members of the project team will be available to answer questions about the proposal and discuss any concerns raised. Officers from Harrogate Safer Neighbourhood Team will also be in attendance to talk about their work and current policing initiatives. The event is open to all members of the public between 11.30am - 7.30pm. The event will be publicised but we ask that you share this information with your friends, neighbours and members of your Watch scheme.

A leaflet has been to delivered to some areas of Knaresborough from \\\'Clothes-Cycle Recycle\\\' requesting clothes to raise money for the disasters emergency committee for Haiti. There is no charity registration number or contact telephone numbers on the leaflet and the charities commission are not aware of this organisation. Therefore it is advised not to give any donations to \\\'Clothes-Cycle Recycle\\\'.

There have been recent reports of cold callers in the area who have been promising tax refunds to residents in return for a cash percentage. Residents have been required to sign forms to this effect and later have regretted giving out details. Residents are advised not to sign any forms or give out personal details to cold callers.

What happens if I have information I think will be of use to the police?

If you or a member of your scheme witness a crime occurring and you require the police urgently then:
